چکیده
Background: Analysis of the causes premature mortality is an essential function public health surveillance. A variety methods have been used to accurately assess and report level trends mortality; however, many significant limitations, particularly in capturing actual early deaths. Years life lost (YLL) has recognized as a robust comprehensive measure mortality. 1 Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) among leading burden young women United States from SLE increasing Latin America. 2, 3 However, not fully characterized Cuba. Objectives: To identify levels due Cuba during 2001-2018. Methods: Data were obtained database Ministry Public Health (International Classification Diseases-10, code 32 underlying cause death). YLL calculated using standard expectancy WHO’s global estimates. Age- sex-specific rates Cuban mid-year population estimates age-standardized rate (ASYR) was estimated by direct method population. The 2001-2018 temporal analyzed Jointpoint software. Results: During 2001-2018, 475 patients died SLE. These deaths contributed 66 605 (women= 59 166; men=7 433), with mean 45.1 per death 45.2; men= 44.5). 40-44 age group most affected both sexes 9 266 (women=8 177; men=1 086). ASYR higher 2018 than 2001 for (Figure 1). significantly trend identified throughout period (average annual percent change [AAPC] =1.9; 95% confidence interval [CI] = 0.9 3.0), more pronounced men (AAPC 7.0; CI 3.5 10.6) 1.3; 0.3 2.3). Conclusion: high growing Cuba, demands its recognition important problem immediate actions that help mitigate it. References: [1]Martinez R, Soliz P, Caixeta Ordunez P. متن کاملMortality in systemic lupus erythematosus.
OBJECTIVE To examine mortality rates in the largest systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) cohort ever assembled. METHODS Our sample was a multisite international SLE cohort (23 centers, 9,547 patients). Deaths were ascertained by vital statistics registry linkage. Standardized mortality ratio (SMR; ratio of deaths observed to deaths expected) estimates were calculated for all deaths and by cause...
متن کاملSkin reaction to capsaicin in patients with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus compared to that in healthy controls
Background: The interaction between nervous and immune systems has been under investigation. Transient receptor potential vanilloid type 1(TRPV1) is a ligand gated calcium channel expressed by sensory neurons which mediates neurogenic inflammatory response. Substance p which can be released following exposure to capsaicin is a TRPV1 inducer, shown to have altered concentration and function in m...
متن کاملAnticardiolipin Antibodies in Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis and Systemic Lupus Erythematosus
Background: Antiphospholipid antibody syndrome (APS) can either occur as a primary syndrome or associated with other autoimmune diseases such as systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). Anticardiolipin antibody (aCL) of IgG and/or IgM isotype in blood, measured by a standardized ELISA is the most acceptable laboratory criteria. APS IgG isotype, particularly IgG2 subclass is more strongly associated ...
